This approximately 285-square-meter carpet was designed and produced especially for the interior of an architectural
office. The client chose a velour carpet tile measuring 48 cm x 48 cm, made in eight different designs. The layout of the
floor plan, with workstations running along a glass façade, meeting rooms, and an unlit service area, resulted in a color
concept in which all of the walls in the interior area are dark gray, while the walls in the outer area are light gray. Concrete
surfaces were exposed in the ceiling and some of the walls. This spatial and color concept is also reflected in the design of
the carpet. The exposed concrete surfaces, defined by their material qualities, are contrasted with a clearly graphic,
geometrical formal vocabulary.
